- How do I play the videos on this website?
- Click on the links from the Video archives page. Each video can be watched online, or downloaded as a MPEG-4 file for offline viewing. You can also subscribe to our video podcast to get new episodes when they are published.
- What are the requirements to watch the online videos?
- You need the Adobe Flash plugin (free download) which is most likely already installed in your browser. In addition, you need a broadband connection (at least 1 Mbps) and fast enough computer (at least 1.5 GHz) to play the videos flawlessly.
- How do I play the videos after downloading them?
- The videos are in MPEG-4 H.264 (.mp4) format which can be played with QuickTime, iTunes, VLC and many other media players.
- What is a podcast?
- A podcast is a collection of digital media files which is distributed over the Internet, for playback on portable media players and personal computers. When you subscribe to a podcast, new episodes will be downloaded automaticaly when they are available. If you use iTunes, an easy way to subscribe to our podcast is by following the iTunes link on the Videos archives page.
- Can I copy and distribute the videos?
- Yes, the videos on this website are under a US Creative Commons license allowing you to share and distribute them as soon as you mention the original source (The Hydrogeologist Time Capsule) and don't use them for commercial purposes.
